SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon, who is also Observer for the Review of Electoral Rolls, held a video conference with all Deputy Commissioners of the Valley today.
Div Com directed all the District Election Officers that the electoral rolls should be updated and pending claims should be disposed off by January 15, 2013. He enjoined upon the concerned officers that new voters shall be provided Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) cards after January 25, 2013, which is observed as National Voters Day.
The video conference was attended by Deputy Commissioners of Srinagar, Budgam, Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora and Ganderbal. Besides, Assistant Commissioner (Central), Dr. Tasaduq Hussain Mir was also present.
