SRINAGAR – A conductor of a truck was killed while two other people were injured in separate road accidents in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said today here.
They said a truck skidded off the road and hit an electric pole at Jawbrara Awantipora on Srinagar-Jammu national highway, resulting in on the spot death of conductor Bahar Ahmad, a resident of Ramban, Jammu region. The driver of the truck fled from the spot after the accident.
A vehicle turned turtle at Watiyan, Handwara, in Kupwara resulting in injuries to two passengers. The injured were admitted to hospital, they said.
