SRINAGAR: According to Superintendent of Police, Traffic, Srinagar, in view of International Cycling Race-Tour De India which is scheduled to start from Royal Spring Golf Course to Kashmir University via Foreshore Road and back to Hotel Lalit Grand Palace on December 04, 2012 at 11.00 am and likely to be closed on the same day at 1700 hours, the inhabitants of the area particularly Nishat, Shalimar and Harwan are requested to travel early towards Srinagar city before the commencement of the said race and there will be traffic diversions/restrictions of traffic movement on the said route.
Accordingly, all type of vehicular movement going towards Nishat, Shalimar and Harwan will be diverted at Badyari towards Khanyar Rainawari while the traffic coming towards Srinagar from Harwan-Shalimar will be diverted towards Tailbal besides the traffic coming from Ganderbal towards Srinagar will be diverted at Zakoora crossing subsequently the traffic going towards Ganderbal will be diverted at Dargah towards Lal Bazar to reach their destinations.
Meanwhile there shall be complete restrictions of traffic movement on Gupkar, Boulevard and Foreshore road during the race hours and no vehicular movement shall be allowed at all junctions/crossings lying on Boulevard and Foreshore Road.
