Will reach every corner of city, offenders will be taken to task: Qasba
SRINAGAR (KNS) – Continuing with its anti polythene drives today, the anti polythene squad of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has seized around 60 kgs of polythene from various city areas.
The recoveries were made from Batamaloo, Harisingh Highstreet, Exhibition crossing, Jawahar Nagar and other areas of the city under the supervision of Anti polythene officer Mir Mansoor, said an SMC handout.
Eight prosecutions were made against the offenders who were using banned polythene bags. SMC would reach to every nook and corner of the city and anyone one found stocking or selling polythene would be taken to task and a stern action will be taken against such offenders, Commissioner SMC Dr Qasba was quoted as having said in the handout.
