Jammu – The Cabinet on Monday accorded approval to lease of land for development of 850 MW Rattle HEP.
The State Cabinet, which met here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah, authorized J&K Power Development Department (PDD) to lease out 567.22 Ha of land comprising 138.93 Ha of forest land, 281.09 Ha of state land, 55.00 Ha of Private Land and 92.20 Ha of river bed area falling in Village Drabshalla of Tehsil/District Kishtawar on lease basis under the provisions of Land Grants Act 1960, for development of this mega project for a period of 35 years from the date of commercial operation.
Similary, authorization has also been accorded to J&K PDD to lease out land to other independent power producers (IPPs) at various locations in the state for periods specified in the individual agreements under provisions of land grants act, 1960 after obtaining all required clearances under rules.
The Cabinet has also accorded approval to Science and Technology Department for execution of Rongdo 3 MW HEP by LREDA besides giving nod to the proposal for revision of Master Plan for Pahalgam Development Authority.
