SRINAGAR – Snow Cabs, the recently launched radio taxi service here has tied up an arrangement with Delhi-based Iris Cabs for the passengers traveling by air between Delhi and Srinagar. They will now be able to book a cab before boarding a flight and have a radio taxi waiting for them at their destinations.
With it, Snow Cabs has announced winter bonanza of 40 per cent discount at Rs 15 per kilometer instead of meter rate of Rs 25 to be available till November 30.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday, Synergy Telematics would provide the technology for live integration of bookings between Delhi and Srinagar. It will also provide the technology for live tracking of the fleet using GPS technology.
The facility would be a great convenience and provide sense of security to passengers, specially ladies, children and senior citizens traveling alone, the statement said, adding the taxis at Delhi would be available at Rs 15 a kilometer.
