Jammu – Jammu Police today arrested a person and seized fake currency with a face value Rs 65,000 in this winter capital of the state. “Based on a tip-off, a raid was conducted and Manu Kumar, resident of Roopnagar, was taken into custody with fake currency worth Rs 65,000,” a top police officer here said.
He said a team has been rushed to Srinagar, from where the money was smuggled and reached here. “The matter is being investigated and the reasons behind transportation of money and its purpose are being ascertained,” he added. A case has been registered at Nowabad Police Station here.
