Area cleaned up, Sweeping machines put on service
Srinagar – On the directions of Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Dr G N Qasba, the corporation has launched a massive sanitation drive at Eidgah where the Eid -ul-Zuha prayers are scheduled to be held on Saturday.
The Eidgah ground was cleared of cattle and sheep. Litter and other wastage lying in the ground were also cleaned up, SMCs Media Relations Officer told KNS.
The cleanup operation started this early Friday morning which continued throughout the day, the officer added.
Road sweeping machines and the compactors were deputed by the corporation to clean up the the area and proper fumigation was also done on the occasion
The SMC Chief Sanitation Officer Manzoor AHmed Turray personally monitored the entire cleaning operation, the officer added.
