Srinagar – Chairman Salvation Movement Zafar Akbar Bhat including his party workers Thursday staged a protest rally at Press colony, Srinagar, seeking release of prisoners on the Eid eve.
Party workers holding banners in their hands demanded the immediate release of detenues and protested against the AFSPA and other draconian laws. Expressing anguish they called for an end to state terrorism .Revoke AFSPA and release all prisoners from jail the Chairman demanded. While speaking with the media persons Zafar Akbar announced that after the Eid Salah a protest will be organized. Senior resistance leader and Chairman Zafar Akbar released a press statement and declared his solidarity with the detenues languishing in jails. He felicated the people on Eid ul Azha and requested to help the orphans, widows and the people in need.
