Jammu – About 20 vehicles were trapped after the world famous Mughal Road was closed due to heavy snowfall at Pir-ki-Gali pass on Pir-Panjal mountains in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. “Nearly 30 km stretch of the Mughal road yesterday experienced around one and half feet snowfall following which the authorities closed the road,” official sources said.
They said about 20 vehicles were trapped on either side of Pir-Ki-Gali area while the traffic from Bafliaz bridge has been stopped after the fresh snowfall. “Assistance was being provided to the trapped passengers while efforts were on to clear the snowbound road,” they added.
