Jammu – A beautician attempted suicide by consuming poison while a watchman died of electrocution in two separate incidents in this winter capital of the state.
“Ragini (name changed), resident of Purkhoo, working as beautician at one of the reputed clubs of Jammu, yesterday attempted suicide by consuming poison inside the parlour,” police sources said.
The girl was admitted to hospital and was unconscious. “A case has been registered and investigations are in progress,” they added. Meanwhile in a separate incident, a watchman died this evening due of electrocution.
The watchman identified as Laxmi Prasad, died when he received anelectric shock while switching on the motor pump in Channi area of city outskirts, police said. The watchman died on the spot. A case has been registered, sources added. (Agencies)
