Srinagar – Minister of State for Home, Culture and Tourism, Nasir Aslam Wani today conducted an extensive tour of his constituency and took stock of the pace of developmental works being presently executed under various schemes at various places.
During the visit, the Minister asked the concerned engineers of UEED, SMC to start the work of left out drains and lanes at the earliest and the funds on this account would also be released.
He directed the UEED authorities to connect the Mandir bagh drain with the main drain of ERA and start the work at the earliest.
Nasir was informed that estimate of the Mandir Bagh drain have been formulated for an amount of Rs 41 lakh and the case has been forwarded for authorizations to the concerned authorities.
The Minister also directed the SMC to construct a drain at Rawathpora and said that he would release Rs 6 lakh out of his constituency development fund for the said purposes.
He also directed the PDD authorities to take up the repair works of street lights of his constituency and the amount of Rs 8.50 lakh on this account would also be released soon. He was assured that the repair works would be started soon.
To provide better road connectivity to Bagahat colony, the Minister was informed that major inner links of the colony have been macadamised.
