Srinagar – J&K Bank organised a financial literacy camp cum seminar at M.T.M. Foundation School Chandiloora in Tangmarg.
People from villages of Chandiloora, Badpora Tangmarg, teachers and students of the school, Branch Manager Central Co-operative Bank and few government officials attended the camp.
Lead District Manager Baramulla, Zonal coordinator (Apple project/KCC), Head B.U Tangmarg, Branch Head J&K Grameen Bank Chandiloora and Horticulture Development Officer Tangmarg deliberated on various financial topics.
Principal of the school chaired the seminar.
FLCC Baramulla explained in detail the role and objectives of the FLCC centre.
Head B.U Tangmarg spoke about various types of lending and regarding service area approach. He gave details of KCC cards issued in the area and facilitating students in admission to various colleges and universities by extending Education Loan facility to them.
Zonal Coordinator (Apple project/KCC) gave detailed account of Apple and KCC schemes of J&K Bank.
He also gave detailed account of Education Loan, Laptop Finance and other deposit products of the Bank. He also spoke about customer rights and responsibilities.
LDM Baramulla informed the audience about the role of lead bank and how the office could be contacted for help in disposal of various loan cases.
He urged upon the people in general to work as entrepreneurs to ensure production of milk, eggs, poultry, fishery and agriculture and avail benefits of the vast number of banking products for better future.
Principal of the school hailed the efforts of banks in arranging these types of camps.

Meanwhile, the Bank conducted awareness camp in Kulgam.
Lead Bank Officer, Director RSETI and Facilitator FLCC Kulgam attended training cum awareness camp in Kulgam, which was organised in collaboration with KVIC, KVIB and DIC Kulgam.
Speaking on the occasion officers educated the entrepreneurs about the schemes they have opted and explained to them the proper utilization of funds for generating incomes from their units.
