Computerization of Records would Improve Services

Srinagar – In a bid to take stock available facilities in the government medical college and its associated hospitals, commissioner secretary, Health and Medical Education, MK Dwivedi Monday said asked the officials to go digital for the maintenance of birth and death registrations.
He said that all the associated Hospitals of GMC, Srinagar should make necessary provison to implement of such Jannani Sishu Suraksha Kariyakaram (JSSK) was appreciated in both the hospitals and further improvements in its implementation were suggested.
Accompanied by In-charge Principal, Government Medical College, Srinagar, Dr Rafiq Ahmed Pampori, he Inspectied the maternity territory care LD and G.B Pant hospitals here, where the concerned medical Superintendents gave an over view of the hospital and also various difficulties being faced in the hospitals. Dwivedi issued on spot instructions directions to the Principal and the Incharge staff of these hospitals to digitize their medical record, drug receipts are being issued through drug stores maintained in the hospitals.
Dwivedi also desired that central heating system be operated from November 15 and in the meanwhile all arrangements be tied up to ensure that during winter Associated Hospitals of the GMC, Srinagar do not face any kind of hardship. He also inspected various construction and renovation works in the hospitals and directed the concerned executed agencies to expedite the pace of construction work and complete it in a stipulated time frame.
Expressing satisfaction over the functioning of these hospitals, Dwivedi desired all these improvements be worked upon in a time bound manner in the best interest of the patient care.
