Srinagar – The Principal Secretary (power) . Shudanshu Pandey while dispelling the impression that unbundling of the power department would negatively impact its employees said that on the contrary it would go a long way in improving the performance and efficacy of the department.
A deputation of J&K Electrical Engineers Graduates Association headed by Its President, Er. Peerzada Hidayatulah and other employees associations represented by, . A. Salam Rajpori, . Rafiq A. khanyari, .Manzoor Ahmad, , Zahoor Ahmad, . A.H. Zaddoo called on the Principal Secretary (Power) . Sudanshu Pandey at Bemina Conference Hall for an open house discussion on Unbundeling of Power Development Department. The Development Commissioner (Power) Er.Manzoor Ahmad Salroo also was present.
While interacting with the deputation . Pandey highlighted necessity of an accountable and creditworthy institution which can attract financial institutions as also develop a mechanism to comfort ultimate consumer of Electricity. He also made clear that this process of evolution has to continue and there has to be regular and periodic interactions over this issue.
The different sections of employees expressed their points of view and were to a large extent convinced by the broader contours of this transition.
