Srinagar – With the onset of winter and snowfall on upper reaches, the office timing in the Kashmir valley has been rescheduled from November 1. New timings will remain operative till March 31,2013, officials said here. They said Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon has ordered that the working hours in all government offices and institutions in the Valley, barring the educational institutions within Srinagar Municipal limits, shall be from 1030 hrs to 1630 hrs with effect from November 1.
Meanwhile, all arrangements have been finalised for shifting of ‘ Darbar Move’, seat of the government, including the office of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, his cabinet colleagues and top bureaucrats to winter capital, Jammu. The offices will close here in the last week of this month to reopen in Jammu in the first week of November. Hundreds of vehicles, including trucks, will be pressed into service to ferry employees and office record from here to Jammu.
