Srinagar – Chief Patron Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi (MeA)
Muhammad Azam Inqilabi Wednesday strongly condemned the brutal attack on senior resistance leader Mushtaq-ul-Islam at Udhampore Jail Jammu.
Inqilabi was reacting to a report of Kashmir bar association about condition of inmates in various jails in the state.
In a statement issued here, he termed attack on Mushtaq as attack on
entire pro-freedom leadership. MeA patron said report of the bar association is shocking.
Denying inmates to offer collective prayers and forcing them to recite polytheistic songs is interference in religion and totally unacceptable, he said.
According to reports Holy Quran and prayer mat of every inmate has been removed and Mushtaq-ul-Islam received head injuries after he was beaten up for refusing to be part of a drill which he termed against his faith.
We demand CRPF personnel who attacked Mushtaq be given exemplary punishment and all prisoners be shifted to the valley and there be no interference in religious matters, Inqilabi said.
Flaying Chief Minister he said We want to ask Omar Abdullah has he any belief in Holy Quran or not or is he an Amarnath worshipper?
He warned against dire consequences if Pahalgam forests are destroyed in the garb of Amarnath cave road widening.
We wont allow Indian government to destroy Kashmir glaciers as they provide drinking water to entire Valley, MeA patron said.
