Srinagar, Oct 16: Reacting to the the recently released book (Wular Kay Kinaray) by APHC (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani, JKLF today said that Geelani has distorted many historical facts in his write up and has tried to malign many people some of which are no more and hence unable to defend themselves.
Distorting history of which many people are still alive cannot be termed but as a deliberate attempt to deceive people for petty benefits, read a JKLF statement.
JKLF said that the author in his book has written many fabricated things about JKLF. Muslim united front, Sofi Mohammad Akbar,Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone etc and even about the peoples revolution in 1990 that was initiated by JKLF .
This fabrication and distortion of history needs immediate rectifications so that the historical facts are safeguarded and put in its right perspectives before the nation. This is a firm belief of JKLF that everyone has a right to write, propagate and perform his or her own ideology but at the same time if history is being put to question everyone has a right as well as duty to defend it firmly.
To rectify the distorted facts in the said book JKLF will soon come up with a booklet in this regard. The booklet will try to clear the doubts created by WULLAR KAY KINARAY and put history as it is before the nation.
JKLf said that the author has termed JKLF as a non religious party and even tried to malign its struggle at various places in the book. JKLF is a caravan of firm believers in ALLAH and lovers of PROHET Muhammad (SAW) .so many people at times have tried to malign JKLF and its leaders by false propaganda and bundles of leis. JKLf and its members love and respect every deed of our beloved prophet but we dont believe in putting ourselves as good Muslims and terming others as bad ones as it is the discretion of Allah almighty only to decide so.
The spokesperson said, JKLF considers the issue of Jammu Kashmir as a political issue and our struggle is for every citizen of Jammu and Kashmir as we do not believe in discriminating people on the basis of their caste, religion, creed or color. JKLF has in past remained silent in the deeper interests of the Ummah and nation but when our friends start to put these controversies in books we have every right to defend ourselves and put the historical facts if its right place ,so that people, Historians and the forth coming generation Remain aware of all the historical facts..
Commenting upon the write ups of many present and retired government employees who without reading books Praise and exaggerate the writers, JKLF said that these people should at least see the difference in so many historical dates and events in the books before praising them at whole sale.
