Kupwara – Rs. 50 lakh are being utilized under Pahari Sub Plan on the different development and welfare programmes in the Kupwara district.
This was stated in a meeting of officers of different departments and implementing agencies convened by the District Development Commissioner, Kupwara, . Sarmad Hafeez here today.
The functioning of State Advisory Board was reviewed besides Action Plan under Pahari Sub Plan for 2012-13 was also formulated on the occasion.
The meeting was attended by the MLC Kupwara, . Mohammad Rafiq Shah, Ex-Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, . Mohammad Yaseen Shah, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Handwara and representatives of State Pahari Advisory Board and the issues regarding the development activities to be taken up were discussed threadbare.
DDC while speaking on the occasion, underscored the significance of establishing income generating units by the educated unemployed youth of Pahari speaking community in the district.
