Srinagar – Several Bills were taken up during the Legislative Council proceedings today.
Naresh Kumar Gupta moved A Bill for the constitution of a Board for the better management of Shri Chandi Mata Machail Dham (Machail Yatra) for up gradation of facilities for holy pilgrimage and matters connected therewith right from Bhaderwah enroute Machial i.e Bhaderwah, Pul Doda, Premanagar, Thatri, Kishtwar, Gulabgrah, Padder etc. (L. C Private Members Bill No. 13 of 2012) for consideration and passing. The Bill was discussed and after thorough discussion the House considered and passed the Bill by voice vote.
As many as five other Bills were also moved for introduction in the House. After discussion and assurances by the concerned Ministers, four Bills were withdrawn while as one Bill moved by . Murtaza Ahmad Khan for introduction pertaining to amending the Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Raj Act, 1989 (L.C Private Members Bill No. 15 of 2012) was introduced in the House.
