Lauds the Role of Department of Posts Inaugurates online service

Srinagar – Highlighting the role of the department of posts in making people living in different in accessible areas of the country to avail the facility of communicating with other parts, the Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Law Justice and Parliament Affairs Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar has said that they have been rendering yeomans role in providing the postal facilities since decades.

The Minister was speaking after inaugurating online services of postal department at the General Post Office Srinagar here today.

The Chief Post Master General Mr. John Samuels was also present.

The Minister said that the Department of Posts has registered many strides to provide the customers a value based and fast as well as effective services. He said that their role has also immensely increased in the present age of globalization.

Giving an over view of the significance of the Postal service, Mr. Sagar said that the service is a simple and effective means of communication for common masses living in far-flung remote areas as well as the urban habitations. He impressed upon the people to avail maximum benefit of the facilities being provided by postal department.

The Chief Post Master also spoke on the occasion, and gave an over view of the activities under taken by them for ensuring that more and more people avail the services of their department. He also gave out the new areas of plans of expanding their activities for the benefit of the people.
