Srinagar – Minister for PHE, . Taj Mohi-ud-Din today informed the Legislative Assembly that to overcome the shortage of drinking water Aishmuqam, about Rs. 9 crore Water Supply Scheme Zain-ud-Din Wali is in progress. An amount of Rs. 386.08 lakh has been incurred on the scheme upto ending March, 2012. He said 18 Kms of 150 mm dia DI pipe has been proposed from the source namely Langani Nallah for which procurement and laying of pipe is in progress. The scarcity of water will be overcome fully on completion and commissioning of the scheme proposed to be commissioned in next financial year (2013-14).
