Srinagar – Replying to a calling attention notice moved by . Murtaza Ahmed Khan, the Minister for Health, . Sham Lal Sharma said that every possible effort is being made to provide adequate number of doctors and para medical staff in the Government Hospitals and Health Institutions.
He said five posts of doctors are vacant against sanctioned posts of 14 at SDH Surankote, adding that government is contemplating to fill up these vacant posts on contractual basis under NRHM, till these posts are filled up on regular basis. He said the posts of qualified surgeon in SDH Surankote shall be filled up shortly.
The Minister said that one consultant is being deputed to SDH Surankote twice a week to meet out any emergency.
