Kulgam – District Panchayat Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Mir Jahangir has exhorted Returning and Assistant Returning Officers to ensure fair and transparent Block Development Council polls for which schedule has been already issued.
Chairing a meeting of ROs and AROs here this afternoon, he said all these officers have been entrusted with important assignment, which they must shoulder with utmost care and responsibility. You have to be completely fair and impartial at every stage of the polls, he said for which he underlined on adoption of neutral and transparent approach.
The Deputy Commissioner asked these officers to go through the handbook prepared by Election Authority of the State to gain full familiarity with the instructions contained therein regarding the conduct of the polls. He said the handbook is a complete manual of instructions, which will provide them full information regarding the election process.
