Srinagar – Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj . Ali Mohammad Sagar today informed the Legislative Assembly that an amount of Rs.3.20 crore was released for eight model villages in Kashmir Division and one in Jammu Division for infrastructure development under state sector (CD & Panchayat sector) during 2011-12. He said out of total released funds, an amount of Rs. 1.94 crore has been expended so far.
He informed the House that 13 more model villages are also being developed in the state under BADP with 100% percent central assistance.
The Minister said an amount of Rs. 117.41 crore was released in Jammu Division and Rs. 174.94 for Kashmir Division under MGNREGA during 2012-13 respectively. He said out of the total released amount Rs. 77.78 crore and Rs. 155.89 crore have been expended up to August 2012 in both the Divisions respectively.
Meanwhile giving details of expenditure under MGNREGA, for Samba and Ramnagar blocks, the Minister informed that Rs. 107 lakh and Rs. 26.35 lakh have been spent in Samba and Ramnagar blocks respectively upto ending August, 2012.
