Srinagar – Claiming that mujahideen from across the Muslim world including Afghanistan would become a party to the Kashmir dispute after the NATO withdrawal from the country in 2014, the Mahaz-e-Azadi chief, Azam Inquibali, on Thursday that marble tiles falling off the dome of the Hazratbal shrine were the result of Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah breaking pledges on Kashmir he had solemnly made on the scared site.
Instead of issuing statements against the resistance leadership, Omar Abdullah should see why marble tiles of Hazratbal shrine dome came off, Inquilabi said in reply to the chief ministers accusation that the separatists were the enemies of the people.
There is a message in it for him.
The National Conference (NC) founder Sheikh Abdullah used to take pledges to continue the freedom struggle in the shrine, he said.
But what he (Sheikh Abdullah) did in 1975 is before us all. The September 25 incident is a reaction to this, he said.
The exemplary strike on the Indian presidents visit here is testimony to the fact that Kashmiris are against the military and cultural onslaught of India, he said, reiterating his resolve to continue the struggle in Kashmir.
In this struggle we are not alone. In Allah we trust and He is with us. Nuclear Armed Pakistan and China support our struggle. The OIC and people having rational approach in the West express solidarity with us, he said.
India wanted to settle the Kashmir dispute in Afghanistan. No one has forgotten what happened to the Soviets there. Now the US-led NATO is on the run in the country, he said.
After 2014, the date set for NATO withdrawal in Afghanistan, Mujahedeen of Afghanistan and the Muslim world will become a party to the Kashmir dispute, he said.
Such an equation is not good for India. So India should shun its rigidity and give Kashmiris their right of self-determination, he said.
The leadership on both sides of the ceasefire line is ready to play its role in this process, he said.
He demanded the release of all political prisoners including Dr. Qasim, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Masarat Aalam and Afzal Guroo.
