Srinagar Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met Governor N. N. Vohra at Raj Bhavan here Tuesday evening.
In their hour and a half long meeting, the Governor and the Chief Minister discussed issues relating to internal and external security, implementation of development programmes, strengthening the functioning of Panchayats, elections to Panchayat Samitis and Urban Local Bodies and strengthening the various Commissions which act as the watchdogs of democracy, governance and accountability, an official spokesman said.
