Srinagar, Sept 23 As part of its ongoing campaign for spreading awareness about negative effects of ragging in the educational institutions, the Aman Satya Kachroo Trust organized a musical concert at SKICC, here Sunday evening.
Governor N. N. Vohra was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Mrs. Usha Vohra, First Lady; Mr. Vijay Bakaya, MLC; and Mr. Vijay Dhar, founder DPS, Srinagar attended the concert.
Dhananjay Kaul, a noted Kashmiri Sufi singer, performed the concert and sang Kashmiri and Hindustani Sufiana music, which was highly appreciated by the audience.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Raj Kachroo, Founder Trustee, Aman Satya Kachroo Trust, and father of Aman Kachroo, who had become a victim of ragging while pursuing MBBS course, thanked the Governor for his strong support to the Trust in spreading awareness among all the stakeholders against ragging.
He added that the Trust is working for eradication of ragging in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development and that this evenings musical concert was part of this initiative.
Writers, intellectuals, social activists and a large number of people from various walks of life attended the concert.
