Anantnag – A police team killed a bear at Kahlil area in South Kashmirs Tral area after the authorities had passed formal order for its culling.
The bear had attacked and injured half-a-dozen people during last one month. Among its victims was one Resh Lone, resident of Ameerabad, Tral early this month, who subsequently died in a Srinagar hospital.
The Tehsildar Tral accompanied the police team when it came to hunt down the man-eater bear.
