Srinagar – The Enforcement Staff of the Drugs and Food Control Organization (D&FCO) seized huge quantity of allopathic medicines illegally stocked and being sold by Ayurvedic Drug Sale Outlets in Kashmir valley.
The team of D&FCO inspected establishments namely M/S Dar Hamdard Dwakhana, , M/S Bargi Dawakhana, , M/S Khan Hamdard Dawakhana, M/S Hakim Unani Dawakhana, M/S Numan Hamdard Dawakhana, Hazuribagh, Srinagar, M/S Hamdard Dawakhana, Nowhatta Chowk Srinagar, M/S Hamdard Dawakhana, Kadi Kadal, Srinagar, M/S Bismillah Hamdard Medicate, Shah Mohalla, Nawabazar, Srinagar, M/S Hamdard Darul Shifa, Karan Nagar, M/S Yeswi Dawakhana, Nanrakadal and M/S Ghousia Herbal Cure, Khanyar and seized drugs amounting to Rs. 38856 .
These establishments had stocked the allopathic drugs in their premises without any authorization/license. Investigation and action warranted under relevant provisions of law shall be taken against the defaulters.
Controller Drugs and Food Control Organization has asked the traders to adhere to the provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and rules in letter and spirit.
