Srinagar – In a bid to provide hassle-free services and for the convenience of prospective Hajj pilgrims, HDFC Bank, the second-largest private sector bank in India today announced that Saudi Riyal (SAR) would be available for Hajjis in Kashmir division through its 24 branches.
HDFC Bank is the first bank in the valley to offer this initiative at all the branches. This offer is not restricted to just HDFC Bank account holders but is extended to all the pilgrims going for Haj. This facility will ensure convenience and speed to anyone in need of this service. HDFC Bank aims to offer the entire gamut of retail forex services to its customers. This service will enable all citizens in the valley to purchase and sell foreign currency, FCY DD, Forex Plus card, Remittance, etc.
The Bank has also introduced multi-currency ForexPlus card designed for international travelers to give a secure and hassle-free travel experience.
Vice President & Circle Head, J&K, HDFC Bank, Zubair Iqbal, said, The Bank has continuously endeavored to add value to customers by taking various initiatives. This year also we are making available Saudi Riyal for Haj Pilgrims in Kashmir. Apart from all our 24 branches in the valley the sale of SAR has begun from our dedicated counter at Haj House for the convenience of pilgrims.
