Srinagar, Sept 17: The 300-km long Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was Monday blocked due to landslide triggered by heavy rains in Ramban district.
The landslide was triggered by heavy rains at Seeri in Ramban district resulting in blockade of the highway this evening, a police officer said tonight.
“Due to landslide, over 200 vehicles are stranded at various places enroute,” he said.
The men and machines of Border Roads Organisation have been pressed into service to clear the highway, he said.
