Srinagar, Sept 17: Minister for Public Enterprises and Undertaking, Peerzada Mohammad Syed today convened meeting to discuss the status of audit and statuary accounts of the public sector undertakings (PSUs) and stressed for completing them in a time bound manner..
Secretary, Public Enterprises, Shugufta Parveen, Managing Director, J&K Minerals, Managing Director, Horticulture Production and Marketing Corporation and representative of J&K Cable Car Corporation were present in the meeting.
Minister urged upon the concerned to speed up pace of work to prepare the Audit and Statuary account statements so that department can take further decisions for the betterment and upliftment of public undertaking corporations of the State.
Minister said that government is committed to reformate the public sector undertakings and various initiatives have been taken to boost it.
Minister was briefed by MD JK Minerals that despite shortage of man power, the corporation has initiated various efforts to improve and restructure the overall functioning of the corporation. He said that the corporation in coordination with Finance Department is going to adopt the professional system for audit and accounts management by which we enable us to prepare audit and accounts statements in time bound manner.
Minister was informed by MD Horticulture Production and Marketing Corporation that the corporation although facing some for preparing the audit and statuary statements is putting its all efforts to prepare the all such statement by the year 2014.
Minister was also informed that Cable Car Corporation has almost completed the statements and will submit these soon.
The meeting also discussed other issues for restructuring and rebuilding of the Public Undertaking corporations of the State.
