Srinagar – Democratic Freedom party Chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah said that the friendship between India and Pakistan will help in the resolution of the Kashmir issue but ignoring the Kashmir issue will not help in shrinking the differences between them.
The friendship between the two powers will help in the resolution of the Kashmir issue but putting the Kashmir issue at the backburner will create more trouble. Kashmir is the main cause of confrontation between them and ignoring them will not allow them in easing out the tension as the times have proved it, Shah said while addressing his party workers in South Kashmirs Islamabad district where he is on two day visit.
He also said that they cannot place the two powers on the same level as India has persecuted them from time to time. We cannot compare India and Pakistan at the same level. India has made us slaves from many years. They are killing us, putting behing bars without any justification, harassing us and are trying to suppress the freedom struggle while the Pakistani antion has been all helpful for kashmiris, he said.
Hailing the Pakistan for its help offered to the kashmiri people in one way or the other. Pakistan has helped us at every level and are continuing their help, he said.
He also appealed to the writers and intellectuals and youth of the valley to contribute in the freedom struggle. We appeal to the writers, intellectuals, youths and traders of the valley to continue their efforts for the freedom struggle and play their part. The writers can do a lot by writing on the issue that concern the Kashmiri nation, he said.
He also said that the kashmiris are not fighting on anyones behest. The struggle of the kashmiri nation is their indigenious struggle and is not fighting on anyones behest. Kashnmiri people will continue their freedom struggle till they attain their birth right, he said.
He also urged upon the separatist leadership to reach to the grassroots level so that the innumerable sacrifices offered by the people will not get waste in any way. Hurriyat was born for the cause of freedom of Kashmiri nation and should hold the base values with utmost strength.
He said that freedom movement is the core value of DFP and the party is a basis to reach to that value. He said, Many parties were born for the cause of freedom and if parties are martyred for the cause of freedom then it is a matter of pride but if the parties are kept safe and and the freedom struggle takes a back seat then it is a loss to the whole nation, he said.
All parties should hold the freedom struggle higher than their party basis for the sake of freedom, he added.
He also appealed to the party workers to reach and meet to the people and understand their problems. The propanganda by the mainstream parties aimed at disturbing the freedom struggle has to be countered by the party workers, he said.
