Srinagar – The journalists fraternity here paid glowing tributes to colleague Mushtaq Ali who was killed in a parcel bomb attack this day 17 years ago.
Friends and relatives joined members of the fraternity to offer fateha and flowers at the photo-journalists grave at the mazaar-e-shuhada at Eidgah,
Separatist leaders Shakeel Ahmad Bakhshi, Noor Muhammad Kalwal and Javed Mir were also present on the occasion.
Messages of tribute were sent by the JKLF chief Muhammad Yasin Malik, Farooq Ahmad Dar, alias Bitta Karate, and other separatist leaders.
Working for an international news agency, Mushtaq Ali was killed, and the then BBC Urdu Service correspondent Yousuf Jameel injured along with noted lensman Habib Naqqash when a parcel bomb blew up in Jameels office on September 10, 1995.
