Srinagar—The 86-km-long historic Mughal road, connecting Shopian in south Kashmir with Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu region, was closed due to fresh snowfall on Monday morning.
Traffic was suspended on historic Mughal road, which is considered as an alternate to Kashmir highway, due to slippery road conditions following fresh snowfall since early this morning at Peer Ki Gali and some other places, said a traffic police official.
Meanwhile, despite heavy rain since early Monday morning, the 300-km-long Srinagar-Jammu and 434-km-long Srinagar-Leh national highways were open for traffic.
