Anantnag—A complete shutdown is being observed in Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district to mourn the death of a local militant in a gunfight with forces on Monday.
Sources told Kashmir observer that Govt departments, schools, colleges, business establishments including shops are shut in the area adding that even vehicles are off from roads.
They said that there is the heavy deployment of forces in the area.
A local militant Syed Owais of Vailoo Kokernag was killed along with two other militants in a brief encounter at Hakura Badasgam area of South Kashmir's Anantnag district Yesterday.
