SRINAGAR: Hundreds of students in the Kashmir University staged a protest against the Shopian killings on Friday. The call for Friday protests was given by the both factions of the Hurriyat Conference.
Reports said that hundreds of students from all departments of the university assembled outside varsity mosque soon after Friday prayers and took out a rally against the Shopian killings.
The students carried with them different banners and the black flags in support of freedom from India. University reverberated with pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.
Students accompanied by general staffers urged upon the International community to put an end to the Indian occupation in Kashmir.
Students marched through the University campus denouncing unabated killings in Kashmir.
