Nasir, Tanvir Visit Injured In SKIMS

SRINAGAR: On the instruction of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Provincial President of National Conference Nasir Aslam Wani and his Political Secretary Tanvir Sadiq Saturday visited Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (Skims) to enquire about the health condition of Dr. S Jalal, and also to enquire about the injured civilians and police personnel.

Nasir and Tanvir met Dr. Jalals wife and son who were present at the hospital and wished his speedy recovery. They said that Omar is personally concerned and conveyed his sympathy and prays for his early recovery. Earlier they got a briefing from the Director SKIMS Dr Showkat Zargar about Dr. Jalals health condition. He said that the doctors are taking best care of him.

Terming it an act of cowardice, they said that such attempts by terrorist on people with impeccable character and who are the assets to the state is unfortunate. They said such acts are highly deplorable and such elements have no concern for precious human lives.

Later they visited the emergency ward of the hospital and inquired about the health of Mohammad Yousuf Hajam of Kurhama Lar and Zahoor Ahmed Bhat of Goripoora both from Ganderbal and enquired from the doctors about condition of their health. They also visited the policemen who were injured in clashes since yesterday and prayed for their early recovery. They also met with the families of the injured persons and sympathized with them.

They asked the authorities to provide the best possible medical facilities to those who sustained injuries.

Nasir and Tanvir were accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Farooq Shah, SSP Srinagar Ashiq Bukhari, SMC Commissioner Dr Qasba besides other doctors and officials.
