SRINAGAR After drawing a flak from various quarters, the directorate of school education Kashmir (DSEK) on Wednesday modified its previous order issued regarding the timing of schools within the Municipal limits of Srinagar city.
As per the new order, the schools within Srinagar Municipal limits will continue to function from 9am to 3pm. The order shall be adhered to strictly by all concerned institutions, reads the DSEK order.
Earlier, the DSEK had fixed the school timing from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm for schools within Srinagar Municipal limits. The order which came into effect today evoked public outcry forcing the department to revise the school timing.
