Pulwama: Police released all the alleged stone- pelters on Monday night in South Kashmirs Pulwama district, however, the district witnessed shutdown for the consecutive sixth day against police reluctance in permitting youth to erect a Martyrs memorial at Shaheed Park of the town.
Meanwhile, 17 youth arrested by police for their alleged involvement in stone-pelting incidents have, according to the local news agency CNS, been released.
The police reportedly held a closed door meeting with the Auqaf Committee Pulwama after which these youth were released. Confirming it an Auqaf member said that police did not register any case against any youth all were released on condition that they will not disturb the peace in the town.
