Srinagar: State Social Welfare Board and SSB 47 Battalion launched a one month long vocational training programme for livelihood generation in cutting, tailoring and boutique at Tinda Mohalla inside Dal Lake on Wednesday.
The programme was launched by Deputy Inspector General of Police, SSB Kashmir, RK Bhumbla. Sub Divisional Magistrate Srinagar Dr. Syed Hanif Balkhi and District Programme Officer IVDS Altaf Ahmed, SDPO Nehru Park Syed Nasir and others were also present during the launching of the programme.
Under the programme around 20 girls belonging to families living below poverty line from the area including two girls with physical disability will be provided one month long training in cutting, tailoring, boutique as well as specialized training in fashion designing with the support of experts. The event was supported by Civil Defence Volunteers.
