Srinagar: Health Minister Wednesday refuted the allegations leveled by Hurriyat G leader Syed Ali Geelani that Cow Urine based medicine has been supplied to Kashmir based dispensaries.
Health Minister Lal Singh told CNS that the statement issued by Geelani is baseless and there is not an iota of truth in it. Geelani had claimed Cow Urine based medicine Sanjeewani Vati prepared by the Indian System of Medicine (ISM) has been supplied and freely distributed in Kashmir. He had alleged that this has been done on the behest of current Health Minister and BJP leader Lal Singh.
I ask them to go and check the laboratories and dispensaries. There is no medicine that contains Cow Urine. What they are claiming is baseless and white lie, Singh said adding that it is not in his blood to play with the religious sentiments of any community.
