Srinagar- The Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday lauded Jammu and Kashmir for achieving 100 percent villages Open Defecation Free (ODF) Plus status in the Model category under Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) phase-II.
“Laudatory effort, for which I congratulate the people of Jammu and Kashmir. This is a monumental step in our journey towards a cleaner and healthier India,” PM Modi posted on X.
The PM’s reaction was to a post put out on X, previously known as Twitter, by J&K Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha.
Besides PM, the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah also hailed the achievement of J&K administration.
“Heartiest congratulations to the people of J&K for achieving 100% ODF Plus status. After the abrogation of Article 370 under the leadership of PM @narendramodi Ji the J&K has attained new heights in development and growth. The schemes implemented by the Union Government are now being seamlessly extended to the nook and corners of J&K. People across the nation and those living in J&K have experienced the transformative change the region has undergone,” Shah wrote on X.
He also extended his heartfelt congratulations to the LG Sinha and his administration for this ‘remarkable feat’.
