Srinagar- In an initiative to bring food lovers together, Mirchi 98.3 has initiated a Mirchi Food Festival at Sher-i-Kashmir Park, offering a diverse range of cuisines from small street food vendors to renowned Kashmiri food brands.

The festival, which commenced on Friday, features an array of dishes including Indian, Chinese, Kashmiri, and Continental delicacies, creating a culinary paradise for visitors.
Speaking to Kashmir Observer, RJ Madeeha described the festival as the first of its kind in Kashmir, bringing together local, national, and international flavors under one roof.

“The festival has everything a food lover desires. From traditional Kashmiri wazwan to global cuisines, there is something for everyone. There’s even a separate zone for children, making it a perfect family outing,” she said.
Renowned Chef Yaseen Reshi, who is also part of the festival, emphasized the importance of such events in fostering a food culture in the Valley.

“This food festival is a golden opportunity for people to come together, enjoy good food, and make memories with their families. I encourage everyone to visit and relish the experience,” he urged.
Adding to the festival’s vibrance, popular food vlogger Muskan Khan lauded the initiative, highlighting the platform it provides to small-scale food vendors and established restaurants alike.

“It is incredible to see both small street food owners and big restaurant chains participating. This festival is truly unique, and events like these should be held more frequently in Kashmir. It not only attracts food enthusiasts but also helps boost local businesses,” she stated, appreciating Mirchi 98.3 FM for the initiative.
The Mirchi Food Festival, which runs until February 16, 2024, is expected to attract a significant footfall, including tourists and food bloggers eager to explore Kashmir’s rich culinary heritage alongside international flavors.

Organizers say that the visitors can explore a wide range of Kashmiri delicacies, authentic street food, and gourmet dishes while soaking in the lively atmosphere of Sher-i-Kashmir Park.
