
Srinagar- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, accompanied by senior officials, visited Sonamarg market on Tuesday to assess the damage caused by a massive fire that broke out on last Saturday.
The devastating blaze reduced 45 shops, including several hotels, to ashes.
During his visit, the Chief Minister assured the affected traders of all possible support and immediate relief, reported news agency KNO.
He emphasized the government’s commitment to helping them rebuild their businesses and livelihoods.
Later, CM Omar Abdullah called for a meeting in which Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, SSP Ganderbal alongwith MLA Kangan and other officials of administration.
