SRINAGAR– Two Judokas from J&K won Silver medals in Under-14 categories on Day 2 of the 67th National School Games in Judo at Gymnasium Hall, University of Jammu.
In U-14 girls -40 kg category, J&K’s Baiza Tariq clinched Silver, as she lost to Khanak of Punjab, who bagged gold medal in this category.
In boys U-14 -40 kg, Garv Tokas of Delhi bagged gold, while Sheikh Mohammad Shraim of J&K won the silver medal.
Secretary J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul, was the chief guest during the prize distribution function, which was presided over by Director Youth Services & Sports, Subash Chander Chibber.
a total of 387 Judokas are taking part in this mega event, including 197 boys and 190 girls, besides around 80 officials.
The National School Games are being organised by the DYSS J&K, under the auspices of the School Games Federation of India (SGFI).
