Valley Stags Banpora Wins T10 Intra-Dialgam Cricket League

DIALGAM- The Valley Stags Banpora lifted the first edition of T10 Intra-Dialgam Cricket League on Saturday by defeating Gousia Colony Super Kings in a close fight that ended up to the last over of the match.

Chasing a target of 51, Valley Stags Banpora lost three early wickets to pace and spin of Gousia Colony Super Kings, with Aqib Khursheed going for zero in the very first over. After losing Aqib, skipper Waseem Hassan kept cool, took ones and twos to stabilise the innings. However, he couldn’t keep it up for long, as he lost his wicket to Shahid.

Rakib Farooq, who has been declared Man of the Tournament, played his natural innings up to the last ball and sealed the finals for his team.

Aqib Khursheed was declared Man of the Match for taking four crucial wickets. Muneeb Afroz was declared the best bowler of the tournament.

IDL 2023 was organised by Zubair Basheer, physical education trainer and enthusiast for a drug free society. It is because of his contribution that many young footballers and cricketers of the area have been able to find a place in the national squads of the country.
