Teacher Suspended For Sending ‘Lewd Messages’ To Student

Srinagar- The authorities have placed a teacher, posted at Higher Secondary School (HSS) Shutloo in Rafiabad Baramulla, under suspension for allegedly sending lewd messages to his student.

An order issued in this regard reads that, “Pending enquiry into the matter, Mr Owais Ahmad Nanda Teacher Presently posted at HSS Shutloo, is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect.”

“During the period of suspension, the said official shall remain attached in the office of Principal BHSS Sopore,” the order issued by Chief Education Officer (CEO) Baramulla reads.

CEO Baramulla, Balbir Singh told a local news agency KNO that the teacher has been placed under suspension while a committee led by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) has been constituted to inquire the matter.

“The teacher has allegedly sent messages to the student. The matter is under investigation and it is expected that the report in this regard will be submitted within two-three days,” he said.
