New Delhi- The Union Minister for Home and Cooperation, Amit Shah on Thursday launched the web portal “CAPF eAWAS” in New Delhi which was seen live by all the officials of Sector Head Quarter (Srinagar), ITBP, Srinagar, J&K.
“This web portal will prove to be very useful for the CAPF personnel. With the help of this portal, all the Central Armed Police Forces personnel will be able to easily apply for allotment of vacant accommodation available in any paramilitary force location as per their convenience,” said a statement.
Speaking on the occasion, Shah said that the Central Armed Police Forces (Assam Rifles (AR), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (CRPF) Increasing the Housing Satisfaction Ratio for personnel of ITBP and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) is a priority of the Government of India. Reforms have been made in the existing housing allocation policy of CAPFs apart from construction of new houses to increase the housing satisfaction rate.
Referring to the work done by the forces on Ayushman CAPF, transfer software, Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar, tree plantation drive etc. Shah said that in future also such initiatives will be taken by the Ministry of Home Affairs for the welfare of Central Armed Police Forces’ personnel.
CAPF eAWAS portal, developed on the lines of online allotment system of ‘Common Pool Residential Accommodation (e-SAMPADA)’, to eligible force personnel as part of their allotment through online process of CAPF’s ‘Residential Quarters or Separate Family Accommodation (SFA)’ Will provide facility to keep updated list. A provision has also been made in the portal to inform the applicant through SMS and e-mail at various stages of the allotment process.
A provision has been made in this portal that if the accommodation of a particular force is not allotted for any reason for a period of 04 months, then any personnel of the Central Armed Police Forces can apply online for that vacant accommodation. The provision of such allocation will lead to optimum utilization of available houses and increase the housing satisfaction rate.
The facility of allotment of residential accommodation among the forces is a commendable step by the government towards the welfare of the force personnel which will prove to be important in meeting the housing requirements of the force personnel and will increase the housing satisfaction of the forces.
